The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is proud to be hosting the March 2000 Physical Plant Crafts Association of Colleges and Universities (PPCA). We cordially invite all interested trades people along with supervisors and superintendents. The PPCA was established in 1987, and has met quarterly since May 1988. The purpose of these meetings is to establish and maintain an environment that promotes information sharing, and enhances skills. It provides a broader perspective and understanding of all that is involved in delivering our particular services to university and college communities.

The UNR Facilities Management Plant is excited about presenting two days of classes and meetings, featuring lectures on Human Resources and Managing Employees. Other topics will include HAZ-MAT material handling and disposal, floor finishing for concrete, wood sealers and graffiti removal, and hands-on roofing repairs made easy.

Reno. "The Biggest Little City in the World" is the second largest city in Nevada and is where legalized gambling really started. There are a wide range of activities available within a short distance from downtown. Virginia City is an old mining town where gold and silver discovery helped Nevada become a state during the Civil War ear. Lake Tahoe is about 35 minutes away, unsurpassed with its snow-capped mountains and its brilliant blue waters, making this an exceptional place for skiing, snowboarding and water skiing. Carson City boasts being the smallest capitol city in the US and is only 30 minutes from Reno. Carson City offers museums, a stamp mill where the famous Carson City silver dollars were minted, and a railroad museum.
