

UtahStateUniversity is proud to host the fall
conference meeting of the Physical Plant Crafts Association on Thursday and
Friday, November 7, 8 2002. All trades
persons, supervisors and superintendents are invited.
Founded in 1888, UtahStateUniversity
is located in the beautiful CacheValley
about 80 miles north of Salt Lake City
in the Rocky Mountains.
Encompassing about 500 acres UtahStateUniversity
has over 100 major buildings. More than
20,000 students are enrolled on campus with about 76 percent of students
working on undergraduate degrees. USU is
mainly a residential campus with 80 percent of university students living away
from home. It boasts 45 departments in 8 academic colleges and an extensive
school of graduate studies. The Facilities
Dept. has approximately 300 contract employees and about 100 hourly
workers.
Persons attending
should make their air arrangements in and out of Salt Lake City. Rental
cars are available at the airport to make the 1 ½ hour
drive to Logan, or the following shuttle services are
available:

The Comfort Inn in Logan has a block of rooms reserved for our
conference. Please call (435) 752-9141
and mention PPCA when making reservations.
They have quoted us a price of $48.60 per night for single or double
occupancy. We will provide shuttle
services to and from the hotel on both days of our conference.
Registration is $39.95
per person; the cost goes toward three full meals, shop and campus tours,
and conference supplies. Please return
the registration form by October 31, 2002.
